Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility projects
KA1 International Credit Mobility (ICM)
Kosovo participates in Erasmus+ KA1 International Credit Mobility projects in the role of partner Country since 2015.
From 2015 until 2022 the Kosovo Higher Education Institutions have benefited with 7685 mobilities (incoming and outgoing staff and students):

KA1 Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM)
Kosovo students are fully eligible to apply for full Master studies through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters program. For the period 2015-2022, there were 41 students selected from Kosovo. However a gradual progress is seen in increasing number of succesful applications for EMJM scholarships continually with the 30% more successful applications than in 2016. In 2022 in total 13 scholarships for EMJM scholarships were awarded to Kosovo while just a year before were 9 and in 2016 only 1.

Capacity Building in the Field of VET
For the first time in the history of Erasmus+ programme, VET schools in Kosovo received Erasmus+ grants by winning 9 Capacity Building in the field of Vocational Education and Training projects. This is a great success taking in consideration that Erasmus+ action for VET in Kosovo was opened for the very first time in the calls for 2022.
Capacity Building in the Field of Youth
Capacity Building in the field of Youth were presented to Kosovo in 2021. Considering the fact that this opportunity is also new to Kosovo, the number of applications was very high and the results are satisfatory at this level of development.

Capacity Building in the Field of Sport
During the last call (2022) a total of 4 projects have been awarded from Kosovo.
I am Lirim Mehmetaj, a student from Kosovo at the University of Prishtina. Last winter semester, and currently this summer semester, I am studying at the University of Salzburg. By coming and being part of a new living and studying environment it was pretty interesting, but also challenging and very demanding. Referring to life in Salzburg, you can easily find yourself traveling into times because Salzburg indeed is a very old city filled with culture. Small and narrow alleys, paved with stones at the old part of the town, are impressive. Moreover, University is filled with students of different countries from all around the world, therefore every new acquaintance, except a new friendship is also a lesson which makes you know and understand better the diversity and multiculturalism. Erasmus is a great opportunity for Kosovar students to study and travel abroad. It is awesome that this kind of program gave me the chance to meet the world and meet new experiences, because I as a Kosovar citizen, cannot always travel freely. It is great that the EU made it possible for me to study with Erasmus. The program helps you not in just fulfilling your dreams, but also, living beyond them. Therefore, it is an extraordinary experience which changes your life forever.
