Erasmus+ testimonial: Erasmus+ CBVET

"Participation in Erasmus+ raises awareness of European values such as tolerance, inclusive, and respect for diversity. This fosters a more cohesive understanding of cultural differences, contributing to social harmony in Kosovo, and plays a vital role in enriching the educational landscape in Kosovo, promoting cultural exchange, and enhancing students’ global awareness.

Erasmus+ supports partnerships between Kosovo institutions and those in other European countries. These collaborative projects often involve joint activities, research, and exchanges, encouraging students to work together, share ideas, and appreciate diverse viewpoints.

Through Mobility Opportunities our students can gain essential skills such as language

proficiency, intercultural communication, and adaptability. These skills are crucial for navigating multicultural environments and enhancing mutual understanding, specifically the discrepancy between the teaching content and labour market needs.

Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education in Pristina is beneficiary of the following Erasmus+ Projects:

1. The project ‘’Capacity building for nursing informatics competencies for nursing

students and professionals to drive digital transformation in healthcare.’’ ( Consortium

between Kosovo, Austria, Israel). NURIC project was awarded in the call ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CB-VET – Building capacities in the field of Vocational Education and Training (VET), EU Grants: 01.06 .2022.

The overall objective of this project is to promote competencies in nursing informatics and create flexible and lifelong learning opportunities for nursing professionals in Kosovo and Israel to acquire digital skills needed for modern nursing care and to enhance digital competencies of 21st century nursing professionals, enhancing and expanding their career opportunities. Incorporating nursing informatics skills into Vocational Education and Training would increase their employability in various roles, support their personal development and promote modern healthcare . Thus, the goal of the project is to promote competencies in nursing informatics for VET nursing students and professional nurses. In Kosovo, in accordance with the Kosovo Education Strategic Plan, the focus of this project is on providing nursing informatics skills to nursing students in secondary education and providing VET to nursing professionals.

Second Project call:’’ Improvement the Green and Digital skills of the Western Balkan

VETs as a bridge to green economy’’.

Project acronym: GREENBRIDGE (Consortium between Kosovo, Bulgaria, Bosnia)

The project’s specific objectives:

• Exploring the needs of the labour market of green and digital skills in the Western

Balkan Region;

• Building the needed capacity in VET providers in the theme of green and digital skills for the twin transition;

• Providing innovative conditions and tools for self-improvement of the green and digital skills.

The particular capacity building activities, which the project presents include development of educations for improving the green and digital skills of VET providers, implementation of innovative online tool for e-learning, train the trainer and study visits. The training will be based on in-depth analysis of the labour market demand and needs of VET providers in the Western Balkan Region.

Third Project Call: ‘’Capacity Building in the field of Vocational Education and Training (VET)’’: In Kosovo and Albania VET schools lack established offices or personnel for project management and international cooperation, a gap that is impeding their capacity to manage projects effectively and clarify roles and responsibilities. This is in stark contrast to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the two countries , where the establishment of dedicated offices for projects and international cooperation has led to an increase in project applications and awards, particularly in schemes like Erasmus+.
